Opening The Door of Communication Between Human & K9
The Urban Dog Obedience Course
Does your dog understand basic obedience commands when at home or in familiar surroundings but then struggles when out and about?

A Canine Understanding is happy to offer a unique training program that is specifically geared towards helping you advance your dogs manners and obedience within our urban environment.
Every week we will meet in a new location around the city and work on furthering your dog's understanding of the commands, and overall manners while teaching you how to communicate with your dog and build trust, respect, and relationship. We will work through distractions, unexpected situations, and the rapidly changing dynamics that occur within each location. At the conclusion of the course dogs will be offered the ability to test for the
AKC Canine Good Citizen.
Each class is limited to 4 dogs and a max of 2 handlers to ensure individual attention is received when needed. NOTE: Children attending as handlers must be 10 years of age or over.
The course runs for 6 weeks, and we meet once a week for an hour. Sessions are held throughout the Vancouver area with the first session being held at
Pacific Community Park located at
1501 NE 164th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98684

The cost of the course is $220.
