Fear Free Grooming — Certified & Compassionate
Grooming should never be stressful. As a Certified Fear Free Groomer and behavior specialist with over 20 years of experience, I create calm, positive experiences for every dog, recognizing early signs of stress and working at their pace. Using gentle handling, reward-based methods, and voluntary cooperation, I help dogs feel safe and confident during every visit. My home-based grooming studio provides a quiet, comfortable environment designed to reduce anxiety and build trust from the very first appointment.

Grooming Policies
Vaccination Requirements:
All dogs must be current on their DAPP/DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 6 months are only required to have age-appropriate vaccinations. Dogs unable to obtain vaccinations due to age/health must have a veterinary exemption.
Sedation Policy:
As a Fear Free groomer and behavioral specialist, your dog’s emotional wellbeing is always my top priority. I do not groom dogs who have been given sedatives such as Trazodone, Acepromazine, Gabapentin, or similar medications for the purpose of grooming. While these medications may seem helpful in the moment, they often act as a temporary bandage for underlying stress or behavioral concerns. They can also mask important communication signals and affect a dog’s ability to process their environment, which makes safe handling, meaningful training, and long-term progress more difficult. If your dog has required medication for grooming in the past, I encourage you to reach out so that together, we can create a thoughtful, customized plan that addresses the root cause and helps your dog build lasting confidence and comfort with the grooming process.
Payment:
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, check, card, and Venmo.
Late Arrival Policy:
Dogs arriving 15 minutes or more late for their appointment may need to be rescheduled. A "no show" fee will be charged in this case.
Estimated Groom Completion:
Every dog is an individual, and their emotional needs can vary from visit to visit. As a Fear Free grooming salon, we prioritize your dog’s comfort above all else. At drop-off, we will provide an estimated completion time for your dog’s groom. Because we work at your dog’s pace, this timeframe may shift depending on their comfort and cooperation.
A text notification will be sent 30 minutes prior to your dogs grooming completion, so you can plan to arrive on time for pickup.
Late Pick-Up Policy:
We work hard to ensure every dog enjoys a calm, stress-free visit. Part of that commitment includes minimizing the amount of time each dog spends in the salon. You will receive a 30-minute notice when your dog is nearly ready, so please plan accordingly to arrive on time. Prompt pickup supports your dog’s wellbeing and helps us maintain a peaceful experience for the next guest. Late pickups may result in a late pick-up fee.
